Grades K-6
Phonics is the main focus with weekly spelling lists and oral reading. In Math students are tested and placed according to ability. Students are treated as individuals and are able to move at their own pace with our small class sizes.
Grades 7-8
Fast Math and Six Traits Writing are used in our Jr. High program. English includes a focus in Grammar and Vocabulary. In our Jr. High Program students do not change classes by subject as in most local middle schools. Jr. High students at LCBA have the same teacher all day. Middle school students are at such a fragile age and we feel that a connection to one teacher like in K-6, is more effective for the age group.Grades 9-12
Our high school curriculum is suplemented by Sequoia Choice Arizona Distance Learning. In the coming 2009-2010 school year we hope to introduce a concurrent enrollment option for high school students to be able to attend college at a local community college and/or vocational school for part of the day. We offer high school credits for the qualifying courses completed off campus.Upcoming Events
